Despite years of Biden family and media disinformation, we are finally learning that President Joe Biden really did fire Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin for looking into state corruption involving the oil company Burisma and his son Hunter Biden—and ultimately Joe Biden himself.

As vice president, Biden, in his own words, bragged that he had threatened to cancel the deliverance of American foreign aid to Ukraine unless Shokin was dismissed.

So what is Congress to do now—unimpeach and exonerate an innocently impeached Donald Trump, and instead impeach a guilty Biden for essentially the same allegations?

After all, the Left redefined the impeachment bar in 2019 as leveraging foreign aid to Ukraine to benefit one’s political career.

And that is exactly what Joe Biden did to ensure his son could continue to raise millions for the Biden family with foreign governments, while being shielded from political consequences.

An impeached Trump also was accused of using the power of government to go after his likely 2020 presidential rival by suggesting that Joe Biden and his family were corrupt and should be investigated by Ukrainian officials for fraud and bribery.

Despite Joe Biden’s denials, Trump was right: There was plenty of evidence to link unwarranted Ukrainian payoffs going into Biden family coffers.

So Trump in 2019 had good reasons to ensure that none of the Bidens was still burrowed deeply into the Ukrainian payoff machine.

In contrast, Biden had far less grounds to unleash the full powers of government against his probable 2024 rival, Trump.

Special prosector Jack Smith is not charging Trump with bribery of the Biden sort. He does not allege that Trump gave special foreign policy preferences to those foreigners who paid his family for such services.

Instead, Smith argues that Trump unlawfully removed classified presidential papers—although Joe Biden did nearly the same.

Biden kept quiet about his vast removal of classified documents for over a decade. Not until Trump was being investigated did Biden suddenly notify the government of his illegal removals.

In contrast, a combative and boisterous Trump fought openly and constantly with federal archivists over which of his papers at his Mar-a-Lago estate were truly classified.

Prosecutorial leaks floated all sorts of unproven nefarious agendas that had prompted Trump’s disputes over his presidential papers.

But no one to this day has seriously asked why—first as senator and then as vice president—Biden secretly and weirdly removed and kept such sensitive material for years.

Recent reports allege that Hunter Biden may have been treated with kid gloves by prosecutors, partly because Hunter’s lawyers had threatened otherwise to call Joe Biden to the stand as a favorable witness.

Government prosecutors under pressure from the White House apparently balked at the nightmare of a befuddled president of the United States testifying under oath about the supposed innocence of the very guilty Hunter Biden.

In truth, the former drug addict Hunter has played lots of such strange games with his own family.

In his laptop communications, Hunter whined that no one in the family appreciated his hard work at family grifting.

He sounded petulant that his father forced him to fork over half his income to the Joe and Jill Biden household.

At a time of universal scrutiny of Hunter, the last thing any sane first son might do would be to hawk his own childish paintings at exorbitant prices to those wishing to buy influence with his father the president.

In effect, Hunter was almost daring the White House to stop his blatant grifting artistry.

Instead, the Bidens moved Hunter into the White House, apparently to keep him under closer watch.

Hunter is still out of control. He could take the family down with him unless President Biden continues to shield him from prosecution.

Ironically, the double standard used by Biden and the media to hound Trump has only raised new questions of fairness.

Why had the Biden family—with its far greater legal exposure—never faced such serial indictments?

A Republican House of Representatives had ended prior Democratic protection given to the Bidens.

And the Ukraine-Russia war has again turned attention to the Biden-Burisma connection and Hunter’s shaking down of Ukrainian officials.

Finally, Joe Biden can no longer work a full day. He mutters. He stumbles. He serially lies.

He hijacks solemn occasions commemorating national tragedies by trying to one-up the grieving with his own self-absorbed stories—most of them irrelevant and narcissistic half-truths.

If a cognitively and criminally challenged Biden cannot finish his term, we will finally learn the full story of 15 years of Biden family corruption.

The Bidens will lose the only impediment—Joe Biden’s political machinations—left in the way of an honest, full-blown felony investigation into what is likely the most corrupt presidential family in American history.

An offshoot political calculus arises here. Should Biden leave office before his term ends, Kamal will ascend to the presidency. Then Biden will no doubt first receive assurances from Kamal to pardon him for his past misconduct.

The odds on Joe being taken out of office for criminal/political reasons is pretty much zero. Uoi need 2/3 of the Senate to impeach. The votes aren't there. I'm not sure the evidence is there - I think the one "witness" said it would take ten years to track down payments to Joe. However, I do think that Hunter may serve time.

On the documents - key points the author is missing - Trump did not co-operate and tried to impede the documents investigation, showed classified material to non-security cleared people, and had a lot more documents. Major difference without the spin.

With respect to your last paragraph, wasn't Trump's attorneys speaking to the DOJ with regard to what was what as far as the classified documents is concerned? Trump was hiding nothing. The DOJ knew exactly where the papers were and could have gone at any time to collect them. Isn't that true? Yet, to further besmirch the Trump name with another election looming in the future, the DOJ decided to raid the Trump home with numerous agents carrying machine guns just for a negative press coverage. Could a few agents simply knocked on the Trump door, showed the search warrant and collected the documents in question? Was there REALLY a need for yet another raid by armed agents as has happened when Conservatives are arrested?

Why weren't armed agents deployed when agents went to the Biden home or the home of VP Pence? Who knows who Biden showed his classified documents to or who could have had access to them over the years. Was it even legal for Biden as VP to have had those documents in the first place? Yet no charges, no nothing for Biden. Wow, huh?

Your inquiry re: the armed agents, is a question for the ages. The armed raid made no sense other than to provide hysterical talking points for the left.

Exactly right. I am not good with names but there was a Trump attorney that also suffered a pre dawn raid by agents who were armed with machine guns as well. CNN had also been called to be right there at the time the man was arrested. Most likely if the agents had contacted the man and asked him to be at the police station the next morning all would have gone just fine. The man and his attorney would have met them there.

It was nothing but a photo op for the Democrats against President Trump and his staff. Yet we are told the Left is completely on the up and up and it is all Right Wing talking points or conspiracy theories. BULLSHIT.
The Left does lie. The Left is corrupt. The Left is doing its best to take freedoms away from Americans while turning a Free America into a Socialist State.

Another plan: Biden appoints Kamal to a high but generally harmless position. Then he fills the vacancy in the office of the Vice-President.

This maneuver accomplished, he shortly thereafter resigns. His Vice-President now President in time pardons him for his crimes and misconduct.

The new Vice-President, just named, stays put in his office while the drama unfolds.

The fresh President soon summons the warring parties in Ukraine to the table for a cease-fire and to start negotiations for peace.

The global order begins to stabilize, to normalize. In a while, the conflict in Ukraine becomes more a memory found in miliary history books. The nations that contributed war material to this conflict restock their arsenals with newer weapons. Drones came into their own as a most useful instrument of war.

My 2 cents.

When Pence and Biden discovered their documents they immediately let DOJ know and quickly established a time for them to be picked up. Trump did not cooperate with turning the documents over to the National Archives, failed to voluntarily turn over all of the documents, even after a legal subpoena was issued l, and in fact there is credible evidence that he tried to hide some me the documents. Big difference in approach from Biden and Pence on the one hand and Trump on the other. Trump thrives on chaos of his own making.

Biden is as guilty as Trump with respect to showing classified documents to people who had no right to see them because “who knows who” Biden might have shown them to, or who might have had access to them? Really??? So Biden is guilty based solely on speculation without evidence, but Trump is innocent in spite of credible evidence. That’s an interesting banana Republic legal system that you want to set up.

Trump didn't want to give them up. It took a subpoena and armed police to retrieve them. If none of them had been classified, it would still have been illegal. Those files and papers belonged to the United States, not trump.
Biden and pence wanted th surrender theirs.

First off, simply having those documents is a violation. Trump, Pence and Biden could have been arrested at any time for possessing them. Then a court would decide guilt. Unfortunately for you on the Left, none of you gets to decide any part of guilt or innocence.

Yes, the DOJ knew exactly where Trump stored the documents and knew he had them. Trump's attorneys were negotiating with the DOJ on their return. At any time the DOJ could have ordered Trump to return them OR sent agents to pick them up. But the DOJ did not do that, did they. Instead they decided to RAID the Trump home with machine guns and numerous agents to make a grandstand play for the media and to further support their corrupt agenda of making Trump a negative person in the upcoming election. Now PLEASE so not act like a moron and try to tell me anything stupid such as Trump could have attacked the agents and machine guns were necessary. I know you are not THAT stupid. This was all a media show for the media circus and you know it.

Why didn't the DOJ simply notify Trump and his attorneys with a signed court order, Enough is Enough. You SHALL return ALL documents by such and such a time period?

The raid on Trump's home as well as the raid on one of Trump's attorneys in the early morning hours with CNN already notified and machine guns in plain view was ONLY to cast a negative appearance on Conservatives as IF the FBI honestly expected some sort of gunfight. The absurdity of that is completely mind boggling to any sensible person but of course that would not include anyone on the Left, would it?

From my understanding of what is written a president can't pardon an impeachment offense.

Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

There were no “ machine guns “ used or brandished by the agents serving the search warrant at trump residence .
Those pictures were the mar-a-lago guards. Not the fbi.

Added.
And the FBI notified the secret service in advance of the search.
The guards you see in popular posits were Mar- A- lago security.
