I don't see how they can say it is the first temple. The first temple may not have been discovered, or may have left no traces.

Yes, it's always possible to find an older, or bigger or higher or larger or ... than the current record holder in whatever category. I suspect the headline is from a journalist, not the archeologist. Journalists love absolutes.

We've been to Urfa, but didn't know about those temples. Damn!! Now we have to go back.

Interesting report of early evidence of human activity we may classify as civilized. The references imply religious consciousness with its lifting to a higher view of existence. Thanks for sharing.
