When I was a kid, we called them knapsacks. That pack on your back has a long and interesting history.

We didn't use anything. We carried our books. This was from 1961- 1973. Backpack? Huh?

That sounds awkward.
Stores like Home Depot and Lowe's are prime targets for big-time shoplifters. They'll load a flatbed with goods and wheel it out the door.

Same here. Cinching em up with an old belt made them easier to manage while walking to school.
