Using Lumix Lx-100 carry cam

Quite a good little carry cam...essentially a Leica d-lux 7 masquerading as a Panasonic. Small but fairly mighty even for a 12.8 mp sensor out of a 17.0 mp sensor minus the unused portions. A result of leica and panasonic partnership in the early 2000's..released in 2014. Surprisingly good little general purpose easy to carry cam with single zoom lens. Full frame? No but a 4/3rds sensor with good optics and easy to control the entire camera manually. First camera in years I have had which I have not had to do any color correction to in post as a general rule. It seems so far to get the image as it existed naturally at exposure time. I bought it used with 600 images on it and am pleased so far. Here are a few images with it, early days. Just trying a different cam. I have been carrying a nikon p950 or fuji xe4 for carry cam but am trying this. I am not expecting full frame sony or nikon results which I have separately as larger cameras but something to carry with me that is easy yet still pretty fair. So far, this little devil fills the bill.

I also have a Panasonic Lumix LX100 ... as my 2nd camera ... to take when and wherever I wish to travel light. Takes good pictures as you have demonstrated...nice set.

probably the only negative is that the lens is advertised as 24-75mm but with a 43mm objective diameter it seems small. Panasonic has chosen to list the lens as its full frame 35mm equivilent instead of the approx 16-54mm it actually is on a 4/3rds sensor of which it only uses 12.8 mp of 16 mp. So, for a carry cam up close it works well but for shooting from the car the zoom is too short for my tastes so I have retired it to the camera case and am carrying and shooting my nikon p950 carry cam which is larger instead. It is good for things up to maybe 30 feet away or landscapes but had I known Panasonic had labeled the lens this way I would not have bought it as I often shoot from my car and this is just not enough reach.
