Folks the Z8 recalls are real, but in my 50 years as a pro using the best from all brands, there has been NO new camera that hasn't come out with some early issues, NONE, and that includes the expensive "flagship" ones, just a fact.
Nikon will get it sorted and in a few months from now, it will all just be a memory.
Nothing wrong with UHHers reporting the news, I do it also. But please dont even think about bashing the decades of legendary Nikon quality and reliability.
I have had Nikon, Canon, Leica, Hasselblad and Sony bodies that had issues, but they were all taken care of and it never stopped me from loving the award-winning images each brand helped me capture and create.
Yes after 40+ years using pro Nikon, Canon ( both brands) plus some Leica and Hasselblad cameras, I moved over to Sony back in 2017. We Sony owners withstood the dismissive jeers from Nikon and Canon fans that Sonys were toys, not cameras, LOL
Then Sony was the innovative creator of the fullframe mirrorless camera which totally changed the pro and hobbyist market. Now Nikon and Canon are racing to catch up and there are going to be some hits and misses along the way.
Nikon will endure, as will their excellent Z8, which BTW is the #1 selling camera in Yodobashi camera store chain's top ten camera sales for June 15-30, 2023 in all these top brands' home country of Japan. .
