To me, the wire rims look a little out of place but I 100% agree with you on the colors. It was a sad day for all of us when Detroit decided to end two-tone paint schemes. A money saving move, no doubt.

Great shots. Our family owned the sedan version, a Fairlane, in a tan and white configuration. Same chrome trim.

A fine looking restoration, but no match for a Chevy Nomad or Pontiac Safari of that vintage. I keep looking for a 1957 Pontiac Safari in the color combination I like as well as the price point, but so far no success.

I've always loved the 1956 and 1955 Ford Wagons.

As a kid, I was always envious of our neighbors that
had a '56. If needed you could squeeze 9 passengers
in that car to head to the beach.
