I reluctantly ordered six Epson ink cartridges from B&H yesterday ($110). They are being delivered today! I was using the ink I got from LD (12 for $24), but the color for graphics isn't quite as good as I'd like.

I'm going to keep swapping out the cheap/expensive cartridges, depending on what I'm printing. It seems that no one makes an ink tank printer that prints on disks.

That's because disks (CDs) will be going away.
No new computer that I've seen advertised comes with a CD drive now.
Fobs, it's all fobs.

I have over 400 audio CDs, on a fob.......

Jerry, the Epson 8500 has a cd holder that comes with it. Haven't tried it yet, but am happy with the printer.

First, it was cassettes, then 8 Tracks, and now CDs that are or are becoming extinct. The trend is toward streaming so it probably will not be too long before "Fobs" go bye-bye.

OK, sorry I misread your post. Took it to mean printing, NOT a built-in drive. Information overload today I guess.

My Epson ET-8500 does.

I got a camera from B&H in two days via FedEx. But I paid $30+ extra for air parcel to California.

Dell Towers can be ordered with a Disk Drive. I play CDs and DVDs on my system. I looked today at Dell Referbs and they do have models with disk drives. Apple, no go. I own close to 7,000 CDs and LPs.

Interesting, but most people I know have CD and DVDs, and they continue to buy them, as do I. I often put music onto CDs for people and print on the disk. I think the lack of CD players in cars and computers is just a way for the manufacturers to save money. I made a mistake in buying this Dell XPS30 because it has no optical drive, and it's impossible to add one. When my son got an XPS40, he made sure to order it with a CD/DVD drive. I added another so he can easily copy disks. I've always had two optical drives in my computers.

What's fob?

Yes, but if you don't order the drive, you can't add one later. That's a change. I've always ordered them without drives and then added two.

Odd, because a computer repair guy told me I could add a Blu-ray player/burner. The issue may be knowing where to buy peripherals these days. LapTops are a different story.

I has to do with the internal structure of the Dell I have. There's simply no practical way to install a drive.

You can do an external one via USB. Which software you use to burn CD. I tried to burn several CD's and they don't work on my stand alone CD/DVD player but they do work on an old LD/CD player and of course on a computer with the CD/DVD drive.
