Thanks, Mike. Like most of us, I've had my share of both. This one was all planning, I knew when the light would be right for that side of the building....I had made notes that would hold true for about 1 month. I'm there enough to catch it when it was in my zone.
I'll be honest. This note taking stuff is out of character for me. But I have been burned enough by missed opportunities that I force myself to jot down info that could be critical to success later on.

Yep, that's a bougainvillea. I'll confess to a bit of staging with this shot. I always have a snake stick in my truck for when I'm out barn shooting. I had my wife use it to push that branch into the scene, otherwise it would have been out of view.
