This 2011 image captures the gravesites of both Martha (Calamity) Jane Burke and James Butler (Wild Bill) Hickok. It's in the Mount Moriah Cemetery in Deadwood, Wyoming and is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I've ever seen.
Great image. I think maybe you mean South Dakota instead of Wyoming. I visited the cemetery and found it fascinating. Check out Findagrave which has a lot of interesting information.

OMG. Thanks RodeoMan. I just had another brain fart. I seem to be having them more and more lately.

Jack, you're not alone in that regard. I enjoyed my visit to that cemetery and remember seeing an old gravestone that was marked as coming from St Joseph, Missouri where I now live. I remember there was a Chinese section. Also remember that the geology of the place was interesting. The rock layers along the driveways went every which way.
The famous graves were interesting, but the section devoted to the children that died in a cholera epidemic was heartbreaking. So many, so small, with small markers so close together. I've not seen anything like it since.
Well done photo, by the way.
Beautifully done, Jack. Great B&W subject.
Nice work with the black and white!
