The shadows need to be lighter. The whole image could be a bit lighter as well. It looks dark on my monitor. I like the composition.

Photo is an 8 shot vertical pano, with a nifty 50 and a 45 megapixel camera using a tripod. Also would like to print it, and would appreciate opinions on the best way to print (i.e., paper, canvas, or aluminum), and at what DPI. Thanks

Well, I give you an A for trying. Even with all the suggestions to make it better, I like it.

As noted in the comment a bit flat and dark and could be a bit more light. Now I was there back in 5.24.2015 and I took a few pictures with my Nikon D7200 just added one to look at.

I was there back on 5/24/2015 and took a few pictures myself. At the time I was using my Nikon D7200 and I did add one picture below. And as noted the picture is a bit dark and flat. Its a great location.

I’m going to agree with imagemeister and leave it at that. Even then make the changes with moderation. You already have many, many advantages over most of us who have stopped to grab this shot. You have the bridge almost deserted, and the girl in red is minuscule in the pano, I’d leave her alone to add to the sense of scale. In terms of focus, there is a lot of depth to the scene, and yet you are close enough there is still some focus “wiggle room”. With eight individual frames in the pano, you can’t really tweak each photo without introducing stitching problems not worth the hassle (imho).
In other words, a very difficult subject anytime but you lucked out with yours if only because the crowd was comparatively small. If you are going to display it at home, print it at a size you can view it from that doesn’t make you want to step in and peek at details. It’s better than a few opinions on details might lead you to believe. Congratulations on a very nice image of a very complex scene. Have fun now and come back with a self appraisal in a couple of years. It’s your memory, don’t cloud it with “nits.”

Apart from the focus problem and some possible improvement in lighting, I think the composition is very good. The oblique lines of the mountains lead the view to the bottom of the waterfall and then the vertical line of the waterfall leads the view to the beginning. It seems to me an excellent photo with some technical details to improve.

Yes and no. Really I wanted to be able to print it any size that seemed appropriate. Mainly, I just wanted to see if I could be successful.
