Beautiful horse rescue.
I saw this video when it was new in 2006. I saved it and somehow lost it. Yesterday I found it again. I find it AMAZING!!!!
John, (Jaymatt) I hope you'll show this to your granddaughter. I know she would love it. My eyes rained the first time I watched it. It's beautiful!!!!
It may not appeal to many of you but if you love animals as I do, especially horses, I hope you love it as much as I do. The music really adds drama to it and it took me YEARS to find out what that song was.
Here's the video:

Glad other than the initial 18 that drowned all the other 100+ horses made it to safety. I'll bet the water was cold.
The rescuing women and their horses had to be brave.

WOW!! As a horse owner & rider for 40 years, I was in awe watching this. Thank you for posting this & the ladies that rescued them. They should be very proud. They certainly deserve it.

What a beautiful story. That music was meant for that video. Bravo to the rescuers. It's a shame some were lost, but so many were saved. That is one of those videos that make you feel happy, but still have some tears. Thank you for the post

Yes, very sad that some didn't make it and of course it always makes sense to use another horse or horses to lure a horse back to where it belongs. Even though the water wasn't very deep, it was a brave thing for those women to put themselves and their own horses through that to save the others.
