After we left the top of Steptoe Butte, the road wound around the butte on the way down. I abandoned my 100 - 400 lens (hard to hold steady in the wind) and used the 24 - 70 to record shots on the way back.

You can see in this set from the change in angle, orientation and light as we get closer to the bottom.
