Wish I knew, but don't have a clue. I did turn the monitor down on it's face, looking for a model number to send to one of my son in laws. When I turned it back up, the grid was gone.

Ahhhh!

Well, there's your answer. When you turned the monitor onto its face the grid fell off. If you look carefully you might find it lying on your worktop.

That's the best response I've heard! Made my day! (guess I'm simple) LOL

There are Grid View Options in Lightroom 3 .. try this ... Press G to go into the Library Module's grid view... then hit Command-J (for Mac) or Ctrl-J (for PC) ... that should bring up the Library View Options,, then click on Grid... try various choices... hope it solves your problem... you can also change the cells sizes in Grid View by hitting the keyboard's + and - (plus and minus) keys

Thanks, Silentknight16. The issue is resolved, it was a function on the monitor itself.
And am glad that this chat has brought a little mirth into someones life, simple, indeed.

LOL! I will have to remember that next time a grid appears while I am in photoshop! It happened to me as well and I tried everything. Finally I restarted photoshop and it was gone! Your solution would have been so much quicker!!! However, if the grid falls to the floor, I will have to be very quick, because my dogs will pick it up before I do hehehe.......

I wouldn't recommend that with a CRT, though. :D

Wendy2, it was a mess getting all those little centimeters size squares picked up. Naturally they all broke apart. The grid covered the 24 inch monitor, had a zillion of them to pick up. Probably missed a thousand or so

Hi from the UK. Just a quick "aside" - if you want to respond to an individual all you need to do is hit the "Quote Reply" box which is in every post. Go to the bottom of the box which appears and make your new entry. That'll save you having to mention to whom you are responding ..... and we can see too !! Ah, the power of knowledge !

Yes, and as you do so you can delete stuff from the original post to make it more clear what you intended to address. In this case I deleted the post that craggycrossers was responding to.
