additional diopters on Nikon D7100

i had from my friend above camera in pristine conditions , but i have discovered that the little wheel close to finder has the possibility to correct the eyes only until 2 diopters and my eye need one diopter more that means three , i have to buy an additional lens to cover my missing .
looking various sites that offer 1 , 2 ,3 additional diopters , what i have to buy ? lens with +1 or minus 1 and how this lens can be fitted on my camera.
Sorry most probably this is a not a problem for most of you but for me is a very big problem since i'm using currently my D850 and my D5 with no problem at all because their adjusting wheels reach up to three diopters.

You need to experiment with simple lenses of a known value over the existing eyepiece. The lens you buy and place in a snap on eye cup will be a single power, the camera eyepiece will continue to provide variation.
Used to be the thing to do in a camera shop.

You don't say if you are at +2 or -2. But...diopters are additive, so if you are at +2, you need an additional +1. My suggestion would be to buy a +2 lens so that you have some room for adjustment in your camera around either side of +1. If you are on the - side, make all the numbers negative instead.

The Nikon website has information about corrective eyepieces. Also, your local Nikon dealer would have access to the needed information. I just looked into this for the D750, D810 and D850. I do not know about your specific camera model.

The addon diopter from Nikon for the D7100 take the place of the rubber eye guard. The same piece you would remove if you were to put the cover on to prevent back light.
Nikon has two diopter styles, round, for the pro and semi pro cameras, D810, D850, D5, etc and rectangular for the rest, like the D7100.
The sad thing I found was that the eye cup would not fit over the diopter .

Thanks again to all guys i ‘l l buy + 1 and put it over the exhisting diopter sliding the new from top to down the old one

Not in the resulting picture using af. But, I would think it would be an issue if you wanted to know how sharp the picture is before snapping it.

Wear you prescription reading glasses while looking in to your viewfinder eyepiece with the diopters adjusted if at all. That is what I do. After cataract surgery I have to wear glasses to see up close. Also for other than close-up and macro I can shoot with no glasses with the camera on AutoFocus and view everything fuzzy and just view for aiming and framing.

That's what I do as well. I'm short sighted and with my glasses on I don't have to adjust the diopter on my D7100.
The rubber cup I bought was a waste of time as it doesn't meet against glasses and I sort of destroyed it trying to flatten it enough so it would fit. I didn't realise you could buy an extra diopter lens but have coped for quite a few years without one by wearing my glasses.

I always wear my glasses because I can't see my subjects [without camera] otherwise. Holding my Camera & Glasses while shooting is also a challenge.

That has been my practice too . Taking glasss on and off is a pain in the neck . The larger eye cup I got to shield incoming light lies unused as it in the way .
