Attractive Women more likely to be “right-wing” conservatives

According to a new study published by Scientific Reports, attractive women were more likely to be “right-wing,” while women whose faces displayed contempt were more likely to be “left-wing.”
The study found that masculinity and attractiveness weren’t linked to ideology in men, but happy faces (both men and women) were likely to be representatives of right-wing parties. Meanwhile, politicians who had a neutral expression or showed contempt were more likely to represent left-wing ideologies.
These findings were backed by more recent data that showed that liberal women are statistically the unhappiest and most mentally ill demographic in America.

I don’t have time to scour the story, but anecdotally, the more traditional (conservative style, not necessarily overly modest) a woman dresses in virtually every geographic region in the US, the more the average man will deem them attractive. A purple buzz cut, nose piercings and neck tattoos are almost exclusive to the left and almost a guarantee to score low on an ‘attractive’ poll. Therefore, analyzing a couple of peripheral influences, I’d agree with the premise.

I don't know. The conservative women I see on TV are usually overweight, missing teeth and wearing t-shirts with guns, flags and hate sayings.
But if that's what you like, go for it.

If a woman is to be hired on Fox News, the most important qualification is that she must be beautiful. Beautiful woman are good for ratings. However, when you look at the women who attend Trump rallies, they are mostly fat, angry women.

Without first perusing the report, I note that the summary mentions subjective measures like appearance as data for determining outcomes. I see no mention of the scientific method as the approach to knowledge and understanding. Hence, the introduction fell short of my further interest.

Pretend, for a moment, that you do not recognize any of these women. They are from the world of politics and news. Just by the photograph of each, can you identify which of these women are Democrat and which are Republican?

My daughter-in-law is an extremely attractive young woman. However, corrupted by college educations, she and our son both are left leaning, though not so far as to fall off the shelf. This seems to be counter to the post's postulation. Family gatherings are a no politics zone by mutual agreement. Sometime since I left college, university classrooms have become breeding grounds for Communist indoctrination.
Interestingly, the other two sons have remained unaffected by their exposure, but are both land surveyors and engineers, so maybe the emphasis on actual facts in their curriculum acted as an immunization to the BS. The two libs were both business majors, one with an MBA, as was I, many moons ago.
