It gives me a thrill because I just love watching the faces of a middle class family when you give then a million dollar bill for their dead child.
Ah, yes. That's when capitalism is at its best.
No socialized medicine in the good old USA. That's for the commies.
Why are you deflecting from addressing your error by exposed? You have absolutely no idea what socialism actually is and what system and how it’s brought about. Even in this last comment you posted you appear to be unwilling to learn. But I do agree with you about our healthcare system here in the US, it really does not benefit all of us. We do need to do something about it and have some other form of a healthcare system because it just does not work for many people work for us.

Why don't we end socialism, beginning with terminating your Social Security check each month?
Then we can eliminate the fire department, the police department, the ambulance service, and public schools, and FDIC-insured bank accounts.
I bet that would be paradise for you. Or would it?
Grow a brain and get your facts right. You must stay up at night dreaming this goofy stuff up.

The United States. IN other words us

Yep, Canada gets billions from the US to support our health care system.

Heh, heh and according to some rabid J6/Q/MAGAs ... the US funds the Aussie Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)

Families go bankrupt when they have a medical emergency because of a couple of reasons. One they are lazy. There is more free health care than I could list on several pages just in the state of Ohio. Two they are stupid. They just whine and pay instead of seeking out the solution to their problem. I can go on but why? You won't listen or believe. My wife had a serious head injury. I was self employed with zero insurance. Of course the hospital treated the immediate issues. Yes we got a quarter million dollar bill just from the hospital. We owned our home along with the bank. We worked out a payment plan for that bill. Did the same with the doctors. The care once she was home was a lot more work. Researched and found several once a month clinics and doctors that are free. Unpleasant to stand in line at 5am but it was free. I couldn't leave her alone for 6 months. If you research there are people who will babysit per sa so I could go to the grocery store. Yes I sold a lot of things to pay the basic bills like electric house payment ect. Healthcare is not a right. I can't expect someone else to work for free to fix my health issues. I'm so sick of hearing people went broke because of health needs. It's a choice. There are more ways to receive free healthcare than you can imagine. Also if you make your payments every month to the hospital and doctors at the end of the year they write off a large portion of your bill. Lazy people go bankrupt.
Thank you so much little rixie, or is it pixie? Honestly I cannot thank you enough for your meme because it is you anti American sissies who are promoting the downfall of real men in America. It is you and your pansy assed Left Winger friends who insist on men being women, who are supporting the LGBTQ whatever life styles rather than a strong military, strong men to take care of women, strong father figures as an example for little children. This has been pushed for a few years now by your side of the aisle but you finally put it down on paper here in The Attic to show your hatred and disgust for this type of man.
But how you forget it is exactly this type of man who has won World Wars, who has helped to spread freedom across the globe, who has been an example of STRENGTH in our society since this society began. It has been MEN who have made America a strong country, who have built up businesses that hire millions of others who then have an opportunity to start their own businesses and hire others.
Your idiotic meme shows a man in workman's clothing carrying a rifle not only to protect his family but to protect this nation as well as put food on the table as men have been doing since America was founded. This is the very same type of man who won the Revolutionary War, who gave their lives to free the slaves, who opened the West, who has put his life on the line to not only keep freedom here in America but also to spread freedom to millions of people in other countries. Like the weak Left Winger you truly are, you put down this man and his many accomplishments FOR America. What a shame you are not half the man this person is.
Now pull up your girly panties, dry those pansy tears and order a soy, half caff, lukewarm latte to sooth your frazzled nerves.

And yet, with that horrible experience that you describe, you still believe that we shouldn't adopt a system similar to Canada where your wife would have been treated without putting you in debt for years to come. And, btw, you're lucky you could even see your way clear to paying this bill. If you were employed at minimum wage and didn't own your own house, what would you have done?
As to the doctors and hospitals, writing off your debt. You may not realize it, but that's why health insurance is so expensive. While you're writing off your debt, I'm paying higher premiums to cover your medical bills. Why not tax large corporations and billionaires and then provide cost-free medical care?

I believe Medicaid expansion is in all but ten states to cover that minimum wage example and if you do the math and tax all the billionaires you and Bernie talk about paying the trillion dollar plus student loan programs and now healthcare, do you really think they have that much money. As has been stated and everyone knows corporations are going to find a way to pass taxation on to the consumers so who is really paying that tax?

Why not ask a Canadian, as they've already solved those issues.

I totally agree that their are flaws in out current system but currently 30 million (9.2% of our population) has no insurance. I don’t have the answers but to socialize our system, accept mediocre care and longer wait times, probably an increased shortage of specialists who will be dictated how much can be charged for a procedure, having the best of the best moving to an A la carte cash system and increasing taxes on those who pay taxes when most, despite costs and shortcomings, are happy with their coverage doesn’t seem like the best and only option to cover the 9.2 %.

Went to see my doctor about 2 weeks ago about my knee and I now
have an appointment for a total knee replacement on Sept. 11th and
since my wife passed almost 18 months ago I have no one to help me
get through the first week so they are keeping me in the hospital for therapy
and care for that week and all of this is costing me absolutely nothing.

We just sit back and watch as medical bills explode and health care CEO's see their compensation also explode. Some folks are making obscene fortunes in the health care industry and that is exactly why we will never have anything other than our outrageously greedy for profit privatized system. Complain all you want to about waste in government. Nobody in government service gets anything like the compensation of these CEO's and their high level managers. They have the power and they will continue this system as they give the big bucks to the politicians who they have bought. If something makes no sense, just "follow the money".
