These are four photos I have played with recently to experiment with taking a rather boring daylight photo and turning it into a night scene.
I took the first in Vienna in December 2018. It is a shot of Peterskirche, located where Graben is intersected by Habsburgergasse (I was standing near Habsburgergasse when I shot this). The scene had about 10 people in it which I used the new generative AI in the PhotoShop beta to remove. I also used that to create more street at the bottom. I had not left much there when I shot it.
The second shot was one I took last week while visiting my wife's sister and brother-in-law in Anton, Panama.
The third is another scene from Vienna in Dec 2018. It is in the oldest courtyard of the Hofburg Palace. The stairs lead to the court chapel, where the Vienna Choir Boys often perform in the Sunday Mass. There was only one lantern, and I thought it needed another.
The last is back to last week near Anton. It is on the highway between Anton and El Valle de Anton (a popular tourist place, a beautiful town located in the caldera of an ancient volcano). This is in one of the many tiny village along that road. I added two spotlights on the grass area to appear to illuminate the front of the building.
In each of them I used PS to do a sky replacement and clean up the scene generally. Then I used Lightroom to light the lights and reflections.
It will take a little more practice to make something look flawless, but I am pleased with these early results.
.
Well done. Great PP work Vienna74.
