Keep religion out of the public schools.

Did you know that this was the prayer that got prayer banned from public schools?
“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.”
That’s all it was, folks.

You can’t keep religion out of public schools, that would be unconstitutional.

Thank you for your note - it is truly amazing that a simple prayer could terrify people so much that it had to be banned. I'm Christian and a two-time survivor of esophageal cancer - I firmly believe in the power of prayer - when I was ill I had Protestants, Catholics, Jews, a Muslim and a Buddhist praying with and for me. A neighbor that is an Orthodox Jew had me say the Jewish Payer for the sick with him - when the tumor disappeared I told David I think the Almighty had second thoughts about me after hearing from him. Not kidding - the tumor totally disappeared - my doctors had trouble explaining it.
I'm a peer counselor for esophageal cancer. I tell the victims of this disease if you have no faith, find it. If you have faith, renew it. During World War II there was saying that there were no atheists in foxholes. I tell them they are entering combat; only this time the fight is in their bodies.
As a man of the cloth, I know you must worry as I do about the children not exposed to prayer. Our ethics for our lives are shaped by religion and prayer. The loss of this is probably why we have so many problems today.

"Keep religion out". Ignorance. You believe so it is a good thing. You don't believe so it doesn't matter anyway. Nobody is forcing religion on those who don't believe. They can count their pimples or whatever they choose while they politely ignore it. But the left, those who don't believe, will force their position on everyone else. Typical leftist hypocrisy. Remove and ban the left and 90% of all problems are solved.
Bring back the 3 P's. Praying, pledging and paddling.
Separation of church and state.

That is a myth that does not appear in the Constitution.
This rigorous doctrine arises from the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Other than a leftist talking point what is that exactly? It isn't in the Constitution, FYI.

And look at the result today. It bred people like you. We can see the seething hate below your exterior.

The first Amendment does not forbid religion itself in public schools. Didn’t you say keep religion out of public schools?

No, it does not actually. Still awaiting your response to the earlier question as well.
Here's the language from the First Amendment: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"
Citizens who hold to (1) keeping religion out of the public schools and (2) separation of church and state ground their position in this language.

Pretty shaky (non-existent) grounding.
