I posted that I had been receiving no TV channel from Spectrum. The cable guy just left. Spectrum stopped supporting Tivo two weeks ago. They can do nothing to get me TV while using Tivo. In addition, I learned that I have been paying for the DVR that I probably returned in 2012, when we started with Tivo. They're going to look into it.
I then called to drop everything but Internet. I'll have to call back on then 18th because they $214 I'm paying runs till then. Apparently, all I need is the modem to operate with Internet only. Until they raise the price, I'll be paying $79.99/month plus a lot of taxes and fees, I'm sure. I'll have to find someone out of the Spectrum area and see if they want this Tivo.
I just got a call, and their records don't go back past 60 days, so that's all the credit I'll get for not having their DVR.

I had the same issue with a modem and Comcast. I was paying for a rental from day one going back years. I always used my own modem. I caught it when I looked closely at a bill. They only credited me for the "rental" for two months. I suppose I can only blame myself for not paying attention.

Frontier is $35 per month where I live, with unlimited access, connection to all my TVs, and only the occasional lapse during rain storms.

Even he can't defeat "Corporate."

We had satellite TV years ago, and the local trees were close to blocking the signal. They've grown since then.
They're lying, of course, about keeping records for only 60 days. But you're lucky to get anything back.
Congrats on cutting the cord! I did it years ago and have never regretted it.

Wait a minute. Are you saying that a large corporation would lie to its customers? 😲
At one point, the guy didn't know if I would be able to sign up for Internet alone because I was a "valued" Legacy customer. My "protections" might not have allowed him to check "No Box" on his order sheet. After doing some "research," he found that he was able to do that. Now, I have to wait till June 18 to call again and activate "Internet Only." Sorry about all the " ", but that's the way it goes.
I never thought about checking for modem rental. I've had my own for a long time. I'm gonna check that today.

I replaced mine old one a couple of months ago. The original one was a freebie, so I have not been paying for it for the past decade.
Jerry, the DVD is listed on your monthly statement. How did you miss that?
I sold satellite tv systems for over 30 years. Being a dealer they gave me all the programming. When I retired I started over the air antenna. Hence I never paid for cable or satellite. Now I do subscribe to Netflix.

I have reccomended using an antenna for many months on this site. No one seems interested in free ! anymore. I guess they prefer paying. At least the topic gives them something to talk about
and if you wait until the date they tell you to call, they will wait a day or two to cut it off do they can charge you for another month. Been there...done that twice. Also never used any of their equipment but was being charged rental for it. They promised to refund those charges but never did. These places are the worst!
