Excellent set of images. I have to ask, what place and what people made the biggest impression on you. I know all of them made an impression, but the ones that made a lasting impression on you?
Hello CWS. First of all, thanks for the nice words. I certainly appreciate your positive feelings toward my images.
Now for your question: My wife and I have talked about this many times, as we have often been asked, "What is your favorite place?" Our answer usually is "The next one," but I won't pull that one off with you. The true answer is that it's impossible to say. We've been lucky enough to have visited so many wonderful and exotic places, and dealt with so many interesting people ... interesting for all sorts of reasons ... that there can be no one answer.
I guess generally, the more different a place has been from the New York City in which we live, the more it interested us. So places like India, Papua New Guinea, the various countries of West Africa, would all qualify. So, for that matter, would Antarctica, in which no people live. So think of your own El Paso, then think of places that are really different, and that would be your answer. Sorry, but that's the best I can do.

Mel, Thank you for your honest answer. I guess it's like asking what is your favorite photo.

More of your exquisite travel photos! This set impressed me with the excellent results under harsh light. I especially enjoyed the colors and portraits as we'll as your usual fine composition. A terrific set!
Hello Eff Ess in Ess Eff.
So. I assume your initials are FS, and that you live in San Francisco??
Anyway, thanks for the nice words. My wife happened to be in the room as I saw them, so I read them out loud to her. Then I saw your comment from my first "Market" post, so read her that one as well.
Very kind of you.
Mel
