The plan makes no sense.

TIFFs dont really save spence. Whatever solution you settle on, dont cook up fancy strategies to save storage space, just buy more storage.

Absolutely agree. It is very likely that the space saving strategies the OP is considering will result in future regret.

I appreciate the advice for everyone. It offers approaches and ideas I will explore to move forward.
I already do several things that CHG_CANON, DirtFarmer and others suggest.
1. All post-processing use the the original RAW file
2. Any photos to share either on websites are exported as JPEG's at 2080
3. Photos for my Digital Time Capsule are all exported as JPEG at 2048 (as noted - it's useless to share tiff)

Thanks all .. Bob

3, You mention printing, what printer have you used that accepted a TIFF as input? I don't print and are unaware of Tiff printers supporting TIFF.

I print 16-bit tiff to Epson Printers from both LrC and PS. This includes tiff images with many layers.

I have had tiff images printed by a business that does fine art photography printing.
