Remastered Ted Heath - Stardust

https://youtu.be/s9pbtUOhkKM

I played that tune at dances, weddings, ... in the early - late 50's, hundreds of times. It really evokes wonderful memories from long ago.

Enjoy

Yes .. on the memories. But I'd like to hear your rendition of it, not just the YouTube posting.

I wish I could!! I stopped playing many years ago and gave my trumpet to my grandson. Thanks for the thought.

Thanks for the post, Mark. I have probably played Stardust more times than any other song over the years. It is simply beautiful on the trumpet.

That was the song that got everyone on the wedding dance floor.

Yes it was, Joe. And many times I was on stage playing it.

Thanks,

When I was a young teen, dad bought our first "Hi-Fi Stereo" (early 1960's). It was a Zenith with base unit and side channel speaker. The first album I remember dad playing was Ted Heath's, "All Time Top Twelve." I was instantly in love. I still have the album, and have since bought the CD version as well. If you get a chance and have a good stereo system (and good ears), I highly recommend this recording. The recording methods were amazing, and the dynamics and musicianship are outstanding.

Wonderful story. We had a Zenith combo TV, AM /FM radio and record player in the early 50’s. It had an 8 inch screen.

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the memory.
When I was in high school our music/band instructor had a small band that played dinner houses on Saturday nights. I don't recall why, but he was in need of a drummer so he hired me. This was one of many numbers we played.
