Tried the newly operational Denoise/Enhance feature in Lightroom. I just downloaded the update that includes that feature.

Processed #1 using the DeNoise/Enhance feature.
#2 was processed using Topaz DeNoise and Sharpen.

So, #1 or #2- which looks best?

Download and take a good look. Let me know.

Thanx in advance...

#2 for me, Tim. I see more detail and it seems a bit sharper. I thin On1 does as good a job, though.

Contrary to the statement above, it was much clearer than #2-for me.

Thanx. There is always going to be differences in monitors, ambient light and so forth. I have not worked with ON1 for years... I agree. Also the overall look is better.

Thanx. There is always going to be differences in monitors, ambient light and so forth. On my LG 27" #2 looks to have more detail. #1 became a Huge file-302mb in Photoshop.

Have looked only on my phone, as received and maximum enlargement. I perceive slightly less exposure in #2 therefore a bit more contrast which I like better. Perhaps a difference in your post. As far as noise and sharpness are concerned in this comparison they are so close, #2 is the tiniest notch better only if you are pixel peeping. I would bet that if you lowered the exposure a hair in #1 one couldn't tell the difference between the two. IMHO of course.

Thanx! Monitors will make a difference, too. Mostly concerned about the clarity/texture/detail/sharpness compare. I agree #1 is a bit brighter overall and that does effect the "feel" of the image.

#2 for me, Tim. FYI Mark K. just downloaded an overview of the new LR features and a detailed review of the denoise issue
