Barred Owl with some kind of meal

Took this photo a couple days ago during a rare sunny day. The distance was about 200' so this is heavily cropped. I would never have seen him/her if he hadn't made his hoo hoo hoo hoo, pause hoo hoo hoo hoo call. There were about 7 or eight crows flying all around him, so I'm guessing the crows had a nest near by.

Thank you Mike. I have some from a few years back that's better quality but not one with it's mouth full. :)

Thank you. Of course the owl gets the credit for being beautiful.

200 feet and heavily cropped and you still captured the catchlight in its eye. That’s worth the price of admission. Outstanding!

Thank you sooooo much for the super nice compliment. I was using my old Sigma 150-500 mm. lens on my new to me Canon 80D. I'm still trying to get used to the switch from the T2i that kicked the bucket a while back. It seems like I got more consistently sharp photos with the T2i but that is probably human error on my part. This photo is the first owl photo I got on April 11th. 2016 with my old T2i. The distance was about 100-150'. Looks better in download.
