you need to crop the tree trunk from the right side and part of the ground for the bottom. I think that this crop would help the composition. It is a really neat picture of an owl, and I like the owl part of the picture I just think that you need to do something to help it stand out, maybe select the background and darken it some just so that the owl stands out

Excellent capture.

First, are you allowing others to download and edit the photo? In any event, there is a lot of dead space in the photo that is not needed. The tree is a distraction and adds nothing to the photo. The entire shot is a bit much on the highlight side and washed out. Can I recommend you darken the background AND enhance the bird such as a bit richer colors, more texture, contrast, sharpening and reduction of the whites/highlights to make the bird look less washed out?

I think it is has the makings of a very special shot. Well done
