Our 7 year old grandson played flag football for the first time this year and I took some photos of one of his recent games. They played on the "hallowed ground" of De La Salle High in Concord California, where both of our sons went (though neither played football). The reason for the second part of the subject line is that is the title of a book and major motion picture about one of the longest winning streaks in sports, 151 games by De La Salle from 1992-2003. Here’s more information from this source:
https://www.stadiumtalk.com/s/greatest-winning-streaks-sports-history-aafb0511490a4dbe“It’s one thing when a high school racks up wins against lesser competition and smaller schools, but it’s another when you win 151 straight games playing in California’s largest division.
De La Salle High, located in the Bay Area, went undefeated for 12 years and more than doubled the previous high school record of 72 straight wins. They were named national champions seven times during the streak and often took on challengers from all across the United States in addition to their divisional schedule.
In 2014, the record streak was adapted into a film, "When the Game Stands Tall." The movie chronicled the streak and its end when De La Salle lost to Bellevue High School, a team from Washington.”
I took all of the photos with my Canon EOS 90D and EF-S 18-135 lens. I hope you enjoy them.
…your grandson looks like a gamer…! You did a nice job of capturing the excitement…

Thank you SkyKing. He's a great kid and a lot of fun to be with. Fortunately, he lives less than 3 miles from us, along with our daughter and his 3 younger sisters.

Thanks Mark. It is a lot of fun watching the kids have fun. Football ended last weekend and now Rowan just started baseball. His Dad was a very good football player in high school according to a friend I used to work with whose son went to high school with him. His Mom (our youngest daughter) was a very good baseball player. It will be interesting to see how Rowan does playing baseball.
Brings back a lot of memories. Enjoy him while you can. Great captures. Thanks for sharing. Paul

Thanks Paul, I'm glad it brought back good memories. We are fortunate to have 14 grandchildren (so far) between 4 months and 14 years old; Rowan is in the middle of the group.
You’re on your way to a fun grandson adventure!
