I’ve used it many times. You do get an immediate credit equivalent to the amount of tax. Tax is paid but you do get credit for the amount of that tax.

My only issue is that I don’t seem to get timely notice or statements, either paper or email, of when my payment is due. Fortunately, I have logged onto my account before the due date and paid online, thus avoiding penalties.

I found it a bit humorous when they rejected my application. I have a credit score of 833 and pay off my cards each month. I think they're hoping for people to make time payments and reject those who don't.

I do believe that you are telling the truth but someone a few posts above said this

"Anyone who posts here that says they were denied a card even though they had an excellent credit rating is fabricating a false narrative."

That's right. They only accept payment by check, no electronic transfers, and they are slow to credit payments. I pay through my bank, which sends paper checks to them. They have charged me late fees when my bank sent checks to them 10 or fifteen days before payment was due. The late fees were greater than the tax savings.
I would suggest sending them the money before you receive the invoice to make sure that the payment is received on time.
I would also recommend users of the card to review the ratings this bank received from the BBB, Yelp and elsewhere online. This isn't a bank that I would want to do business with.

That is the first time I've ever heard of this payment restriction. I always pay this card online electronically and show payment receipt confirmation immediately. If they were to say it's a late payment and charge late fees, I could prove payment before due date, regardless of the banking rigamorale. Besides, the debit on my bank statements are always dated within a working day of my payment date.

Is it possible your bank was set up to do your payouts via hard check? I have clients that have bank checks mailed to me for invoices, sometimes different clients, same bank with checks from each in the same envelope.

Not true, I have a 825 credit score and have been paying all my credit cards in full monthly for over 20 years.

I used it a few times and no problem. You'll see the tax and the final bill will have the tax taken off. You have
to pay the full amount minus the tax when the billing statement arrives.

Good for you. I must have upset them somehow because they came back almost immediately saying I wasn't qualified. Now I wish I'd saved the email, or letter, can't remember which.

If you want the card, apply for it again...the worst that can happen is they say no.

I have used the Payboo card quite a bit. They DO immediately credit the state sales tax against the purchase price. ALSO, if you pay the card by the due date they offer a discount, OR, it is a large purchase you can give-op the discount and pay over six months with no interest.

If you are a B and H customer is is a great card to have. B and H is now my first stop for any camera gear purchase. They ship very quickly if they have it. If it is backordered they periodically update me regarding the backorder status.

B and H has daily specials that offer extreme savings as well on specific items.

I ordered a Plustek slide scanner that arrived broken. I called them and they immediately shipped a replacement. They charged me for the replacement but immediately refunded the purchase price when I delivered the defective one to UPS using their prepaid shipping label. That was outstanding service because they issued the refund without ever seeing the defective returned scanner.

I now trust B and H and they trust me.

I think I'd be following up on that with Payboo and/or the rating agency to get a reason for the decline as somebody may have their fingers in your pie or it's another person altogether. I read somewhere just recently that you're pretty much guaranteed a card with a score of 650 or higher. I would think the person with a 650 is probably going to get a lower credit limit than the person with an 850, but issuance is pretty certain for most folks.

I have tried paying bills through my bank's bill paying service and found that they deduct the payment from my account immediately but don't pay the creditor immediately. Sometimes it was 3 to 5 days.

Now, I pay online using the creditors' payment link. The payment is credited immediately and I never have any late payment fees. Banks use your money as working capital for a short time before they pay creditors.

I too, want to thank everyone who posted a reply to my questions regarding the use of the B&H PAYBOO card.

"Fabricating a false narrative"? You mean lying. I was denied a card with an excellent credit rating, so you are calling me a liar. How can you know that never happened to anyone? It was early on in the program, and it was a different bank than the one they use now. I haven't tried with the bank they use now.

Interesting. I don't know how you arranged for electronic payment, since this bank won't accept electronic payment. My bank always arranges to pay merchants electronically if the merchant accepts electronic transfers and only sends paper checks if electronic payments aren't accepted.
I was charged a late fee for a payment and charged again because the late payment was allegedly late. I was able to provide documentation to Comenity from my bank records showing that my bank sent a paper check to them showing that the first check was mailed to them 12 days before it was due, and the second check was mailed to them by my bank 17 days before it was due. Unless their Texas facility is serviced by the slowest Post Office in America, the payments should have been received well before they were due.
In any case, I would still recommend looking this bank up online to see what their reputation is.

No hesitation. Tac is not credited, it is deleted at time of purchase. I have been using Payboo for a few years. NO complaints.
