But psd is a photo shop extension. Do other editors read and edit that format other than Adobe?

I've not noticed this, so I must have the box checked. I'll have to check when I get home. I'm in the hospital right now. Been here since Sunday morning. Had a mini stroke. I'm doing good, no side affects and the spot on the brain is small as a pencil dot, talk small.

Take care of yourself and get well soon.

This appeared quite recently. I don't know if it's accurate either sometimes or always. PDF attached. If it is true even sometimes then it may be important to photographers generally, not merely "whistleblowers".

Whistleblowers Take Note: Don’t Trust Cropping Tools

Cropping tools like those in Google Docs allow viewers to see the full, original images.

Thanks, Nikita, This is vital on far more levels than photographs. I deal with documents in ADOBE daily. I write articles that require I submit in MW. I'd hate for my publishers to know how poorly a typist I am. Truly, thanks.

Tin foil hat area?

Where do you find tin foil these days? Plenty of auminium foil available but tin is hard to come by.

"Tin" was replaced @ 100 years ago, when aluminum became cheaper and more pliable
We still say "making a Xerox" and using "Scotch" tape. Etc.

Using a brand name for generic products is common
