Trish sorry I can’t find the message you sent. So I will answer here the gadget I have is called an amplifier a personal amplifier it’s headphones connected to the microphone. I have found it very useful this weekend for visiting with our friends and neighbors that stopped him. Set the microphone on the table and put the headphones on and I can join in the conversation. The best part was great granddaughter came over and she has a part in their musical at school. She agreed to sing her part for me and it was wonderful because I could hear it. I found it extremely important to have the amplifier when I was at the doctors appointment. I have to keep asking them to repeat themselves and sometimes I’m still not sure what they said. One of my doctors has an accent and I cannot understand her no matter what so she types it and shows me the screen. I am hoping that with the amplifier I’ll be able to hear and understand all the doctors. Mine is called the pocket talker ultra it’s worth five times the money I paid for it.

I had a patient that had one a few years ago, it was a little box ( amplifier) he clipped to his shirt pocket, I think I remember ear buds. I'm so happy that it's working well for you Judith. I'm going to look into it for my friend. Thank you so much!

It's been sunny here today but the sun has now gone down.

When I had my fall 3 weeks ago I grazed both shins. My right leg is now festering where I have cellulitis and the tiny scab got knocked off. I don't seem to be winning ATM! I slept way past noon today, after waking at dead on noon yesterday.

Moaning over. I am doing OK all round.

Harley passed his driving test on Friday. I knew he would. He's been driving as a learner on his dad's insurances for two years as the moment he passed his test he had to pay full insurance. He has now got his own insurance with a year's no claims bonus! My eldest brother Alan paid it for him.

Congratulations Harley! That's a milestone!

When I went into the Lake last week I stopped for a take out burger and a buddy burger for Max. We went to the park and I gave him only the meat patty, was going to put the bun in the garbage. That is until I saw a crow, so why not make his day? Next thing a murder of crows was around Max, scurrying for tidbits. Usually this would drive Max mad... aka Mad Max! But he was excellent and "stayed" like a good boy!

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:55 am EDT and -10'C (14'F). Snow flurries are expected as we are brushed by a massive storm that is crawling up the east coast. The US and our maritime provinces are going to get it worse.
We had snow on and off yesterday. The roads actually weren't that bad. I probably could have driven into work. But it was so nice to work from home. I had a virtual meeting and I will need to go into work next week for one or two days to decommission a piece of equipment that we no longer need. I don't have to take it out of the room, I just need to prep it for shutdown, so that isn't so bad.
The police just announced that they are stopping their patrols on the subway and transit stations and immediately there was a knife attack on one of the subways. Apparently the police were doing the patrols on overtime and the cost was getting too high.
I just found out that there was a clause buried in one of the bills passed by Ontario parliament during the pandemic. When terminating workers working remotely, employers only need to give them 1 week pay instead of 2 weeks per year of work!!!! I'm surprised that more employers who have high turn over of employees aren't doing this. I haven't seen if any changes were made to hybrid workers (people who go into work one or more days a week). There is always something sneaky hidden in those bills.
Mum's doctor was really pleased with his work. He gave her a new sheet of instructions, just to make sure she was following the right ones. Her next cataract surgery is scheduled for early April so I will need to book off another day. I need to set up my vacation time for this year too.
I was too tired to knit on my KAL project last night so I just knit a stockinette sock until I decided it was better to go to bed early.

Canadians can sing the American anthem

The singer's microphone wasn't working properly so the Leaf and Buffalo Sabre fans in Toronto's Scotiabank arena sang the anthem for her.

I guess it depends on how it was transported from Eden Prairie, MN. That's transportation costs, customs costs, handling by third parties, until it gets to Amazon.ca warehouses.
I just saw that one supplier on Amazon Marketplace can supply it for a cheaper price than US. $165 CAD here and $179 USD there. ?????

That's horrible. No such thing as making the world a better place these days unless you have money.. and plenty of it.

She has to come up with another $650 for her next cataract surgery next month. Seems healthcare is only good here if you have lots of money. It's amazing how quickly that changed when the premier allowed additional charges for "optional" services and add-ons. (How is the replacement lens in cataract surgery, optional????)

Good boy Max. Crows and sea gulls need to be barked at, they are so random and cheeky. DD once was attacked by sea gulls taking the french fries out of the container in her hand when she was at Cobourg beach.

Happy belated birthday to your dad.
It was one of my aunt's birthday too. Mum and my aunt yelled at each other over the phone. Neither can hear well.
