I'm in need of a computer upgrade. I currently run the Adobe subscription on a Windows 10 computer. I would like to add the Topaz suite of programs too. Would there be any advantage in moving to Windows 11 during this upgrade?

Do any of you Hoggers have experience with Windows 11 using Adobe and Topaz?

I had to buy a new computer a few months ago. It came with 11. All my Adobe and Topaz programs had to be installed and they run fine. Other than longer support from Microsoft, I'm not sure 11 is better than 10. It took a few days to get used to it.

The one pinch point was Microsoft Office. I had a 2013 version with a perpetual license and I had trouble getting it installed. I gave up. Microsoft now has me on a $65/year subscription plan. Compared to other computer and camera costs, it is not much. I do get a TB of cloud storage that I didn't have before.

Thank you. I am satisfied with Windows 10 and I have heard a few horror stories from people who installed Windows 11. If the learning curve is that short I may go ahead with 11. I'll see what others have to say too.

When you say in need of a computer upgrade, you mean that to say a new computer, or you are upgrading RAM or Video on a current computer.

Both Adobe and Topaz run fine on W11. There should be no reason you can't stay with W10 if you care to do so. Both program suites will run just fine on 10.

Win II has been the most stable, trouble-free OS form Microsoft.

Not sure why people are telling you horror stories about Win 11. I had zero problems installing it and my PC runs fine, and it appears to be faster, at least starting up anyway. I've not encountered any problems with older software running and quite frankly, I like Win 11. I had no problems transitioning from Win 10 to 11, none.

I agree, my switch to 11 from 10 was seamless and I have had not a single issue with W11. I don't like that they wouldn't let me put my taskbar at the top of the screen, but that's just me.

The Adobe Creative Cloud and Topaz apps work seamlessly on Windows 11. I never do an upgrade install of a new Windows OS; instead, I do a clean install from scratch on a new SSD drive. I keep the old one to allow transfer of files, etc.

The same here Win11 works fine. There might have been some problems when it first came out but now there should be no problems. When I upgraded mine it even got rid of some strange quirks that Win10 had. Nobody could put a finger on those things. NOw they are just a memory in the past

I have 10 on one laptop, and 11 on the new one I got in December. I use "Photos" a lot, and 11 Photos does not have "Clarity" and "Spot Fix", both of which I use a lot. I keep getting pushy prompts on the older computer to "Upgrade to 11", but never do, as, at least in "Photos", it is a downgrade.

use this youtube video and it will show you how to make changes in the registry to allow you to put the taskbar on the top of the screen. As a computer tech it doesn't scare me to go into the registry . It's a easy video to follow .Tommy

I have Windows 11. Topaz applications work perfectly.

The old version is in the Microsoft Store and can be downloaded and added to Windows 11. This information popped-up when Windows Photos first used.

From what I've seen online, Win11 has no "must-have" features that would push you into it. Eventually, MS might do the pushing.

I accidentally upgraded to Win 11 and found it more cumbersome to use.
