I am debating between Helicon Focus and Zerene Stacker for my work. I have downloaded the Helicon trial version but have not the Zerene version. Without going into great detail, what is the overall experience among the UHH members? Thank you for your recommendations.

Affinity Photo 2 (or 1) has focus stacking. Very easy to use. I used a trial version of Helicon but found my needs were being met with Affinity.

I haven't tried Helicon but I like my Zerene and am trying hard to get better and better with the retouching program.

Hello, I tried all possible software, trial version and free software.
The one who gave me the best results is Affinity Photo: speed and precision.
Cordially,

second yay for Affinity Photo. I use them for all my stacking - HDR, Focus, even the few times I have tried Astro. I just did a comparison on a 5 panel HDR Pano stack with them versus Lightroom Classic and Photoshop , Luminar HDR and On1. Affinity was superior and really the best value of the bunch.

Thank you. So far, Helicon trial seems easy and is working well but too early to finalize. Zerene is next.
