You have to know where to go. The first photo I would never have known how to get there if someone had not told me. You also have to be willing to feel as though you are trespassing, but Iโ€™m not sure if you doโ€ฆ you do have to walk in the tracks some which you are not supposed to do. Each time there have been other photographers in that spot so the train knows and has not tried to stop people from going!

Good to know, thanks

Very nice set! By the way...what means "kids were excited in their PJ's to ride train"? In fact...what are "PJ's"?

I love the photos. The third photo appears to show the train coming into Alamosa. I know there were narrow gauge tracks in Alamosa but was unaware that the Durango Silverton train went to Alamosa. Would love an explanation! (I went to Adams State in the 60's and have old B&W pictures of the steam engines taken there.

That photo was taken at the Durango station. Iโ€™m not sure why the sign is there saying Alamosa. I thought maybe I had to do with Christmas or some Christmas story Iโ€™m not aware ofโ€ฆ.. the train does not go to Alamosa!

Those are really nice, I have wondered it it was worth the money to do it. Your photos say yes!
