Lightroom Classic: When I open LR all my photos are in folders external HD but it says no photos in selected folder when I click on a folder. Anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone know...

When I open LR all my photos are in folders external HD but it says no photos in selected folder when I click on a folder. Anyone have any ideas? Or does anyone know adobe’s phone number? Thanks for any help.

Have you imported any of these folders --wherever they may be, on an external HD or anywhere else-- into LrC? And if you had, did you in any way move, rename or otherwise alter the location of where those folders actually reside in the interim?

Not that I know about. Just closed out LR like always and reopened today and nothing in my folders.

Has the drive ID for your external HDD changed for example from D: to E: . I have had strange things happen when that happens after adding something new even a USB Stick and I don't catch it, or the computer decides to reassign drive letters :).

Yes. Drive numbers can change at will if you are not carefull.
Often plugging an external drive into a DIFFERENT USB port/hub or unplugging a drive using the port and then returning the drive will sometimes change drive letters/paths.

Check to make sure you didn't accidentally hit the Filter button on the top frame. You could have accidentally set a filter that doesn't meet any of the criteria of your images.
