Someone posted online looking for a lawyer to draw up a "revokable will." I had never heard of such a thing. I suggest he write it in pencil.

They are all revocable till you die, then it is too late.

I thought so, but I've never heard that a will called revokable.

Perhaps he meant revocable trust.

Means you can change it. Debra and I have a revokable will and living trust that leaves the house and half of everything else to the trust. Our oldest and youngest will be trustees and paid a stipend to administer the trust and be guardians to take care of Jon (special needs son) in the house for the rest of his life. If he dies before them, then his brother and sister get the trust to split up as they see fit.

Until Debra and I both die the trust and house belong to us, but we can change the conditions and details at any time we wish, just file the paperwork. No complete new will or trust, just modify the original.

revokable vs revocable--which one will win? So far I count three "k"s and two "c"s. We know what it means but we can't agree on the proper spelling.

Webster weighs in with “c preferred, “k” an alternate (which, as I understand it, means it’s widely enough used to rate listing.) So we do agree.

Revocable and irrevocable trusts and wills are in existence. Once signed and irrevocable trust/will cannot be be changed even in cases of remarriage by either party

Half asleep and a new keyboard, old one got a hot soup bath. Old one was plain, flat and no wrist rest. The new one has a none removable wrist rest and is domed with the center of the board higher and the keys are also taller and tapered to a smaller surface. Add to that I have stubby fingers that don't taper like many-the tip is as wide as the knuckle and these keys seem to be a lot "softer". I can't type worth a damn without a ton of mistakes, extra letters, to the point it takes me three or four times as long to type and correct something. I can actually use less time by the hunt and peck method. But I won't, I have touch typed for 60 years and will not give up that skill until I actually can't do it.

If I don't adapt by the end of the month, I will get a different keyboard and present this one to someone who can use it well. It is a great keyboard with 3 channels for three computers and the mouse is the same. A few bells and whistles my old one didn't have also. I could also go back to wired, I have a high-end Dell wired board that came with the business computer our oldest had some years ago that is great, I think it is a mechanical keyboard, which I understand is what the gamers prefer. I could take it off the spare computer that is a designated scanner machine (we have tons of photos, negatives and slides to scan-everyone in the family seems to find things for me to scan since they found out I have both a film, negative, slide scanner and a flatbed for photos) and backup computer if a family member's machine dies. It is a gamer that our special needs son's beloved train simulator programs outgrew a few years ago, and I had to get him a more powerful/faster one when this one was still perfectly good. And the required specs seem to be going up again on the latest games, which he wants. So I may be getting him an even more powerful machine in a year or two.
