Beautiful shots of cool cars but why are the steering wheels on the wrong side

For the placement of the wheel, the cause is Napoleon.

Owned an American consumption 1959 TR3. Loved that bulldog of a car.

The XK-150, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful automobiles ever built. Good design never gets old; I currently own a near-perfect 1999 XJR in Spindrift White, and it gets comments whenever I take it out despite being 24 model years old. When Ford and Jag joined forces in the 1990s they both got benefits - the Ford learned about speed and the Jags learned about building things that don't fall apart. Another 150 look-alike would be a wonderful thing to see and hopefully to own.

Wonderful set, John. I’ve always had an attraction toward British cars. Love #7, the long white convertible, not sure if it is an MG.

Nope, it is a Jaguar.

Because those cars were designed to be driven on roads that drive on the left side of the road as is the case in England, Wales, Scotland, Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Tanzania, and Zambia just to name a few. In short, not all of the 182 countries of the world drive on the right-hand side of the road as you do in the USA.

Great photos and a great collection of classic British cars. Love the XK150 and the Austin Healey.

I want to thank everyone for their comments. Lots of you have knowledge about these vehicles. I actually learned a few things. I can tell you what kind of camera and lens I have, but those English cars,,,,, NOT!

Wonderful day you walked into. Many moons ago I had an Austin Healey 3000. They were sometimes called “the big Healy”

Thanks John, for the great photos that you took here. I've never seen the color that's on that beautiful MGB-GT. I really like it. I liked both of the MGBs as well as the XK150 and one of my all time favorites, the Healy 3000. pesfls, I know that you wish that you still had yours! When I was 16 (in 1964) and working at the First National grocery store my co-worker had a steel gray 3000 and his dad had a new XKE!!

65% of the world's nations use right-hand travel. It has me pondering though... are there more ambidextrous Englishmen than North Americans? It seems to me that driving a manual transmission vehicle would require more hand/eye/foot/leg coordination from the usually right-handed resident of the 35% who drive on the "wrong" side of the road? PS, the red TR3 was my unrealized dream car. Thanks for the shots!
