I think some bow hunters had pushed them out of the timber to the right. They came right towards me to about 100 yards, the wind shifted, they then smelled me and high tailed in down the draw to the left. It was quite an enjoyable time.
In the download+ the elk to the right is looking in your direction and/or smelled or sensed you and gave the alarm to run. Cliff
