I dug out my first Nikon camera ever (N2000) and my first ever digital camera which was a 4 megapixel Olympus. Both served me well and were not overused or abused. I am sure with a little cleaning they would be useable. The Nikon I am very fond of as I worked out a trade with my brother in order to get it. I built him a new front porch and he bought me the camera. He was a Canon shooter so I opted for Nikon so we could compare results. I am still shooting Nikon... he shoots Olympus and has for years. :)

I am digging that 1980s original camera strap. Groovy baby. Ole!

while I have all but 2 of my film SLR cameras I only keep 2 digital ILC bodies (R7, 80D). I sold the older ones (EOS XT, T2i).

I dug out my first Nikon camera ever (N2000) and m... (show quote)

I started a little earlier with the Nikon F, but eventually had two N2000 bodies which I really enjoyed.

I then worked my way up the chain to an N8008s, an N90s and finally to an F100 which was my favorite film camera ever. After finally buying a DSLR in the form of a lightly used D610 I figured I would continue to shoot film with the F100. However, 6 months later it sat unused so I sold it to another Hogger who I hope is shooting the heck out of it.

I have an N2020 which is the AF version of the N2000. The AF doesn't work correctly. It's the one way focus that is it would only move the focus in one direction. It can't move the focus the other way. Someone gave it to me. I never actually use it though.

To be a good photographer we needed to appreciate Peter Max and colored sprinkles on our IceCream.

We should all visit a Peter Max site to understand how our post processed photos should appear vs the normal boring.

There is even a Photoshop plugin !!

Looks like a guitar strap, I used one. Still have my Nikon FTN and Nikomat from the middle 70's.

Oh nostalgia!
I commiserate with Rip1948. I have my Nikkormat Ftn, my first SLR and my F100. I believe the latter was the finest camera that I ever owned. It will sit until I venture to use it again. I have Velvia and Kodachrome film. I don’t know if they are usable. Took them out of the fridge years ago. For some reason I still have my F60, my D200 snd my D500. Except for my D500, i typically trade in my cameras.

Shoot the Velvia, it will work, the Kodachrome, not so much.

I had an N2000 as well. I will never forget it because it broke in Barcelona. From that I went to N90S which I still own.

I have a Topcon RE with several lenses and a Signature Kodak. Another interesting lens is a 300mm F5.6 Pistol grip Novoflex from the '60s

Thanks for the Peter Max. I needed a jolt to my humdrum birds and trees and flowers.
