B&H question

I have bought a number of items from B&H in the past and the buying screen always showed a block to "Buy" and you clicked on it and completed the sale. Yesterday I entered an order and the screen said, instead of "Buy", "View Cart". Since I had not had a chance to enter anything in my cart, I clicked on that command but nothing ever came up. The screen just kept rolling over and over. I tried to find an explanation for the "View Screen" command at B&H but could not find an explanation. If one of you who have ordered from B&H far more than I have has experienced this and can explain what is going on I would appreciate your advice. I sent them a message but as they are presently closed for a few days I won't get an answer soon but am curious as to why the "View Cart" message came up instead of the "Buy" command.

What time was it? B&H doesn’t take orders from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. They post a notice near the top of the page stating this and it includes the time on Saturday when they will start taking orders.

Because now like most online sales sites you have to put the item(s) in your cart before you can Buy.

Mac, the first tries were last night but the second tries were this afternoon about 1300. I had not noticed the time regulation you mentioned, and thank you for that, but most of my orders to B&H are made at night and I have not had any problem before this. Robertjel, the website did not give me an opportunity to enter an item in my cart, it went straight to the non-reply screen when I hit the "View Cart" button, which I did for lack of any other command button on the website.

It's the Sabbath from Friday night to Saturday night. They are completely closed. Not just during the day but between the times completely

Drbobcameraguy, that could well be the problem as all of my attempts to enter an order fell within the parameters you listed. I'll know in a few hours

It is 0130 Sunday morning and the situation is unchnged. I think Monday is a holiday so they may just still be closed through Monday. Haven't had a reply to the message I sent them so nobody must be home.

I deal with BH constantly, all the time.
When youve got your desired item on the screen, not as part of group but all by itself, theres no "buy" or "buy it now". Theres always just "add to cart". That is whatz normal, every time.

I just went to the B&H site, selected a random item and clicked Add To Cart. Went in with no issues. Put it in, took it back out. Everything seems normal. I didn't bother to log in, but that shouldn't make any difference.

"Usually", buy puts it in your cart, and once you add it to your cart, a "view your cart" option comes up. BUY goes away, because you already did. BUT, not all sites are the same.

Not sure if Store hours and Online hours are the same. I don't see anything listed for online, so they may be the same.

Be Patient. Since this is Saturday, they are closed. Wait until Monday and call them. I’m sure you will get the proper answers and perhaps they will take your order over the phone. It might be delivered sooner

So, in English, that was Saturday and this is Sunday. BTW-Tomorrow is Monday, a holiday in the U.S.
