I got the new Canon R-10 and the Canon RF 100-400 and tried to see if it is a viable low cost to bird and wildlife photography.

I'll give you my take on it anyway, the camera is very good for the price , however it is also very noisy specially darker scenes, it is true that none of the lenses are fast lenses but the censor seems to have problems with low light.
It was quite some work get these pictures in good shape, I had to do a lot of post processing.
But again considering the relatively low cost, this is a good option for a bird or wildlife photographer, the auto focus is excellent.
Comparing to the R6 I had for about a year and a half, the R6 is better for bird photography, it is much faster and it has more resources; however the price difference does not justify i.m.h.o unless you are a pro.
Enjoy the pictures and thanks
Pretty impressive but it took me many tries and a little bit of luck!
A busy shot but I liked it
The camera and I struggled to get a decent shot
I love this shot, a Great Blue Heron "bombs" my shot!
The color is as always with the Canon is very good

Green Heron, a lot of detail from the new sensor
Good dynamic recovery, I pushed to the right, the Snowy Egret looks fine to me
Guess it would be helpful to see compare before and after PP, to see how much you did.
