Can't utilize Quicken since my subscription expired. I get the following, which to me says my only alternative is to renew the subscription.
You have exceeded the maximum number of datasets. You cannot create a new dataset.....
After going to their support link, it appears to me the only resolution is to re-subscribe. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get around this problem? I think it's time to find another financial application to use.
Oh another thing, the current app keeps asking me for a password that I did not set up. Nothing works.
Suggestions for another financial application, please.
GnuCash is one. You've probably already Googled the alternatives to Q but there are many. None seem to have all the elements of Q but they'll get you out of Quicken Hell.

I gave up on Quicken myself a couple of years ago and now use Moneywise. I a Happy with it.
I had the same problem. The "subscription" involves just the online linkage to your bank and credit card accounts; which I never used. If you use Quicken as a bookkeeping-only app, just let your subscription expire. What's left is fully functional; I've used it since 1/1/2023.
