I haven’t been very active on UHH for several months and haven’t posted any photos for over 9 months. However, I’ve still been taking photos. I’ll be posting a lot in the not-too-distant future, as my wife and I spent an amazing 33 days in Europe in June-July on two Viking cruises (one ocean, one river) and I’m almost done processing the best ~3,200 of ~5,000 photos.
Life has been very busy with 14 grandchildren (the oldest is 13, one just 2 months old), helping my 101 year-old Mom and taking care of her house and a nearly full-time teaching schedule at the university. We took a quick trip to Carmel on December 7 and had dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant in Pacific Grove on Monterey Bay. We drove along the bay on our way home and I had to stop, as it was a beautiful moon and an unusually calm Monterey Bay. I had my compact Canon G5X Mk II with me and took a few quick hand-held snaps at 1600 ISO. I processed the RAW files in Lightroom and here are the resulting photos. The moon is washed out, but I was primarily trying to capture the moonlight on the bay. I hope you enjoy them.
A nice set, Dennis. #2 stands out the most. You obviously have a steady hand!

A nice series of shots. I like the reflection on the water in #1, The moon in #2 isn't blown out.
Beautiful work, Dennis! I look forward to your trip photos.
This will moon the gallery before long.
