I really like the picture, but a question just popped into my mind; Where did the name "Bald Mountain" come from? if you don't mind me asking
We're on top of a hill in the middle of the woods and started calling the place "Bald Mountain" during the construction phase and it stuck. We're actually halfway between Steubenville and East Liverpool.
Didn't get a chance to do much street photography this year but I really like how this came out. It's rude to be pointing a camera at the Amish but I've been practicing a form of "stealth photography" where I hold my camera at waist level, center the focus point, aim, look the other way while hitting the shutter button, and hope for the best. I've gotten loads of images of bodiless legs and other weird things but with practice the success rate is about 30%. This was taken at the Rogers flea market in September.

Love the macro shots, especially that nifty little white spider!

A fantastic shot! Love everything about it. Well done!

Some shots from Missouri. The Basilica, I believe, has the most mosaics under one roof in the United States. If you ever make it to St. Louis, it's a place to visit.
Just a few from Missouri and one from California.

The "South Shore" is known as the "last of the interurbans", the street-car like trains that were so common in the Midwest during the 1920's.
Just a few weeks ago I was out 'running errands' when I saw this vehicle. I did happen to have my camera with me, so I looked for a place to safely park and photograph it. I obviously didn't give myself enough time {that is my blue car}, but they stopped when they saw my camera - after I took my photo, we talked. This is called a "Tower Truck" used to inspect the overhead lines from which trains draw their power.
This is a “hi-rail” truck. It has flanged wheels, lowered when running on rail, raised when running on pavement. The rubber wheels provide power in either case {they barely have contact when the flanged wheels are lowered}

I've heard of White Sands but had no idea it was so beautiful!
