There are as many locations as you can imagine. Big Bend in Texas is popular for landscapes and night sky. White Sands in New Mexico is popular for landscapes, sunrises, and sunsets. One local instructor does springtime thunderstorm chasing workshops. Iceland is popular both for landscapes and the northern lights, and Hawaii has been popular for the volcanos, although rule changes may have slowed that one some.
Check with camera clubs and photography stores in your area to find workshops. If you are not near a major city, you should check clubs and stores in the nearest major city.
Go on YouTube and search for "Photography." Many of the landscape photographers that post regularly on YouTube also run workshops.
Workshops in the field very in length, cost, and physical demands.
Also check with community colleges for photography and art courses. An art course is a good foundation for photography.
Most camera manufacturers have "ambassadors" that offer educational material on-line.
Mark if you are interested in shooting commercially (especially Beauty; Fashion (catalog and editorial)) NYC is the epicenter of the Universe... virtually all major advertising agencies (as well as Model/Acting Agencies) are located there. I've worked with many many NYC models; hair stylist; wardrobe stylist and makeup artist. While there are minor markets (LA; Chicago; Miami etc) however they pale in comparison.
Many of the major Vendors of Photographic Equipment are located in NYC and they offer Photographic Workshops in their NYC locations year round. Many to choose from :)
If you just want to photograph beautiful landscapes I wouldn't have a clue... I learned many years ago it's virtually impossible to generate a relevant revenue stream shooting landscape i.e. stock... unless you want to run "Photographic Workshops" for enthusiasts... Lot's of those to choose from... :)
Please find commercial shooters who's work you admire and visit there web portals.
There you will likely find they offer Photographic Workshops to enjoy and develop your craft.
Wishing you all the best on your photographic journey Mark....

Welcome to the Hog! You'll find tons of good information and imagery here, and "a lot of piles you have to step through to find the ponies."
Check this out:
https://naturalexposures.com Daniel J. Cox is a wildlife photographer with a very long list of 'A List' magazine clients. He and his wife are known for exclusive photo tours.
I strongly recommend a process that looks like:
Read
Try
Fail
Review
Read
Try again
Succeed
Repeat
Learning photography is like anything else, it can be a life-long process (it has been for me for 62 years). By my teens, I liked a lot of what I was doing with my camera. Everything since has been refinement of range and technique. I'm self taught, for the most part, although I've attended dozens of seminars at photo industry trade shows through the years. I spent three decades in the yearbook and school portrait industry in many different project management, production management, and training content development roles. I'm always amazed at the broad range of photographic achievement that is "out there."
UHH is a great place to lurk, learn from, contribute to, and more. But, like all social media, it can have a dark side. Let that roll off of you like water off a duck's back. Everyone knows something, and everyone has an opinion, and not all of either are correct, or useful! But there is enough here to make it worth a new hobbyist's while.

Talk to people, experiment, and learn. Eventually you will find out how to step
around the piles.
And show us the pictures.
Mark, where are you located?
Check out any photo workshops offered by Arizona Highways or Road Scholar. See if you can find any at Strabo Photo tours that meet your needs.

Check out WPPIexpo.com. It is next March and you can learn more in one day than a lifetime of taking Community College Courses!

You have received many good recommendations for on-site workshops. My daughter travels to Iceland each year and brings back wonderful photos.
For on-going educations, take a serious look at the Photographic Society of America, worldwide. For the very modest membership fee, you have access to numerous on-line courses with one-on-one contact with the instructor, you can also view monthly webinars on a variety of photographic subjects and participate in monthly study groups where you post an image and receive back critics by the other members. All this, and more is included at no cost to members.

As a remote observer I can't speak from first-hand experience but I suggest that you follow the artists and check out the Hudson River valley. Landscape artists and landscape photographers have a lot in common.

If you are willing to travel and give yourself a totally different experience from the arid country scenery you have already experienced, I would recommend the Maine Photographic Workshops. They have seemingly been around forever and are highly regarded.
