What can a FTb do better than any digital camera?

0. Nope. Digital meters all lenses.

1. Use FD lenses with auto iris.
2. Use film.
3. Run with no battery.

It certainly can't produce better photos. The camera is fifty years old time to let it rest

(Meter doesn't work without a battery, but it still takes pictures without a battery.)

Haha, mine is resting in the curio cabinet....
Right next to my AE-1 and Yashica Mat 124.

Hammer nails.

When I stood behind the sales counter in a camera store one of the fellows had fixed a 1/4 20 tripod screw into a wooden hammer handle that we kept behind the counter as a prop. When customers inquired about the toughness and durability of cameras we got it out. Only certain cameras rated (by our standards) to be mounted on that hammer handle. The Ftb was one of them.

Otherwise most any digital camera will blow it away.

Sounds like a dedicated Nikon F lover.

But you DO need a battery to meter.

Not to take a photo.
Meter not required.
Ask Matthew Brady.
