The more I looked at the photo in my previous post, I began to wonder what it would look like with an Orton Effect applied.

I like the original more.
What is the Orton Effect?
I like the Orton effect more on nature studies, landscapes when backlighting is a part of the scene - strictly my preference. That probably because that was how I was initially exposed to it, and because the backlight is what makes the effect have that soft glow around the;subject.

But I can't see much difference with "The Orten Effect)
The original looks better to me. It might be that the subject just isn't a good one f or the effect.
