DON'T PRESS IT !!!

The whole universe could be just a simulation and crash if you press it.

I've seen that on a movie

Well, if you saw it in a movie it must be true and since we are reading this on the internet that just proves it! Now I know why, when I pushed mine, that everything around me flickered for just a moment and I got a quick glimpse of weird creatures sitting around. Reminded me of the bar on Tatooine. (Great place to visit, BTW. Put it on your bucket list.)

I may need to be executed for discussing this.

Many advanced cameras have a menu settings that enable the camera to assess the situation and automatically decide the factors in the exposure triangle, focus, and ways of dealing with subject motion. It is a form of AI (Artificial Intelligence).

My cameras will track a subject in motion even if it temporarely disappears behind a tree or small visual obstacle. When it comes back into view it recognizes it and stays on'target. It isn't a perfect system but it can be useful.

In my opinion it is better for the photographer to make those decisions based on his/her own artistic and technical evaluation.

There are so many You Tube presentations about appropriate focus and exposure control that can help educate you. The photographer should be in-charge that reliance on AI should be minimal.

My cameras have no AI buttons, or, I have never discovered it.

...
...

Low order AI.

Simply a program providing results based on analysis of pertinent conditions.

Some programs are much more involved than others.

So youve now become fully dependent on your Ai button but without endeavoring to learn its location or its function ?!?!

Yup! That is typical of me. I still have no clue of how to understand my wife, ir my two cats. My life story is one of many failed attempts at discovery of mysterious subjects.

If his camera has no Ai button or he hasn't discovered it, how and why would you come to the conclusion that he has become fully dependent on it? Your logic escapes me.

I didn't say that. I stated that, although some AI features are there, I am not dependent on them. I was simply discussing their functions.

A lot of discussion making assumptions when we really have no clue what the OP was talking about.

More cryptic than Carl1024

Obviously it’s there to stress out technophobes, and from the comments here, with much success.
