I'm gonna tell Beth what you said.

No ... it's just to let you know that Costner has other talents as well. I think they call that "Diversity of Talents"
It is unfortunate that you interpreted my remarks as being disparaging of Costner and more so that you presume to be knowledgable of what I know about him. Dancing With Wolves was a well accepted work that some feel was quite superior to Yellowstone in many ways, hence my reference.
The original Costner series, was intriguing.
The new series, seems to be grasping at straws to keep viewers entertained.
Whover the writers are, seem to be paying off the producers to get their
scripts on the air.
Seems they have traded the drama of the stories for "4 letter words" to
try and attract a different crowd of viewers.
Clean up the language of the actors, and maybe we will tune again......maybe?
Like you said, it's beginning to be another chapter of day time soaps that
are viewed (after hours) by another crowd.
We only watched a little as well and lost interest. I'm not sure why some of our friends love it - maybe we gave up too soon?

We decided to watch a few episodes of “Yellowstone” on Peacock to see what it is all about. What I suspected after episode two (the first year) and confirmed after episode three is that it’s nothing more than a nighttime soap opera. The setting is different and the scenery is pretty, but the plot line is pretty much just like the afternoon “General Hospital” that my wife used to watch. It’s back to a good book for me.
I respectfully disagree John. keep going for a few more episodes and I think you’ll like it.
Yellowstone I find interesting, but must think is this how ranchers see themselves, law as they see and want it to be?
I find it entertaining, along with the scenery. But my question remains, is this how ranchers see themselves. Or, is this just a unrealistic portrayal of todays western ranchers.
Funny how temperatures have risen here. Everyone is allowed an opinion. It would be pretty boring if everyone only liked blue cars, only one particular band, only Canon (lol) cameras yada, yada, yada. Opinions are like arseholes...everyone has one. Some folks just become very emphatic when someone disagrees with them. Imagine if we argued politics!!
"Yellowstone" is a GREAT show and if you disagree, you're WRONG!

Yeh, and she will tell Rip! You'll be sorry.
My 35 year old son suggested I watch it as I watch crime dramas all the time. I like it.
