Thanks. So glad you enjoyed. I've often wished I could will our land to the city and have it saved somehow - a park with meeting rooms in the house, a training place for young landscaper and gardening hopefuls, etc. Up until 5 - 6 years ago, we couldn't see any other houses except on one side. Now it's just one side with all the development. I think it's really sad. The entire neighborhood is changing like this and loosing it's charm and allure.

Here's some more of the yard. Again, I'm so thankful we have this place and that we are still healthy enough to enjoy the rewards/pleasure (and hard work) to keep it up.

OMG I've been at a couple of places where someone did will their houses and property to the city or county for such purposes as you mentioned. An admirable, generous idea Your place is utterly spectacular 🥇👀👀👀👀

I didn't think to mention it but my husband planted the row of Rhododendron when he was 21 and his parents were on a weekend in Reno, 52 years ago. Neat huh.

Again, I'm thankful for my Granddaughter. I'm also thankful that she has always been so positive and giving. Luckily, she has also loved flowers and eating vegetables right out the garden.
When she found the steps up to the roof, she wanted to go but was afraid. I mentioned that the view was so different and neat. She tried it at her dad's side. I was so proud of her for overcoming her fear and trying something new.

Magnificent, LeeK. Both on the photography side and labor of love on the landscaping side.

As most of you know, I love "Mother Nature." Whether it's trees and flowers
or a beautiful sunrise or sunset, those images are the ones that burn into my
brain, and for which I will always be thankful.

Very nice, Lee. I love your pond and landscaping. Very relaxing, I'm sure.

After 30 years, I finally had to fill in our Koi pond. Biggest problem I had was
the neighbors free-range cats and some hawks that consumed several thousand
dollars of Koi over the years.

But, I no longer have to pull weeds or trim the bushes, or maintain the pond,
and now my deck is twice a large...yeah! Bigger parties!

Tim

Know what you mean about fish disappearing. Herons usually got them until we put out some heron decoys. Usually did the trick. We have never gotten Koi, just small feeder fish. It's amazing though. Some have grown to a good 10-12 in long before something gets them. It is definitely some work though.

Absolutely gorgeous landscaping, bushes, trees...I love it!

I am curious about that wooden structure running from the pond to your house roof...

Tim

Not sure what you are talking about. Possibly the steps that my husband built so he didn't have to climb a ladder to get on the roof. It's only about 3-4 feet from the ground in that one place.
