I lived in Westfield, NJ for 23 years and left the area in 1998. My neighbor, for the last 18 years, had a Ford F-250 pickup truck. I happened to drive by his house on Tuesday and noticed the pickup truck was still in the driveway. It's a 1979 Ford F-250. Now that's old and he indicated it still "purrs". I'll take a few images of it and post them next time I'm in the area. Visually, it is not in good shape.

I thought my 1999 Honda CRV was old. It's still an infant.

Always did, and always will love the 70's Ford trucks. I have one that has been sitting in the garage for over 30 years. One day I'll get around to finishing it....... (If I live long enough)

The trucks, especially new ones, that don't rust have never met the N.E. w snow and ice and sludge and salt and brine and whatever else they throw on the roads. I see trucks less than 2 yrs old rusting around the wheel wells and rocker panels.
However my '87 Jeep is still running great. Kind of like me though; bit rough on the outside but still willing to take to the roads.

Just get a Ford—aluminum bodies don’t rust.

Interesting! As it happens, I have a 1972 chevy 4 wheel drive pickup truck with an automatic transmission. Purchased used in 1972 (traded my 1968 GTO, 4 on the floor, 400 ci engine, plus some $$ for the truck) Still have the truck, runs great & have received a fair amount of offers to buy it ... it'll go to my youngest son soon. Drug the truck all over Montana thru the years, great vehicle!

I hope not. I have a 03 2500 with around 240,000 miles on the 5.9 Cummins that is just breaking in. At my age I'm not planning on a new one. So far, no rust and paint looks like new. It is garage kept when we are not traveling.
