Nothing - that’s why it’s in “Chit-Chat”

I got an invitation to take a survey about lending. Not exactly sure what they mean by that, but it seems like a stupid idea for a survey. If I qualify, they will send me a $10 Gift Card. After finishing the ten-minute survey, they will tell me that I don't qualify.
I don't see most surveys as being useful, except to gather information about the people taking the survey. Ah, I just got it. By "lending," they mean financially, since this is from Citibank. I get email and snail mail from Citibank every single day. They must have a huge printing and postage budget.
Speaking of qualifying, I've begun some surveys, and as soon as I tell them my age, I don't qualify. Kinda depressing.

Jerry, as far as ". . . . .and as soon as I tell them my age, I don't qualify . . ."
I think that your loan/gift card qualification denial is covered by the:
"The Equal Status Acts 2000-2018 ('the Acts') prohibit discrimination in the provision of goods and services, accommodation and education.
They cover the nine grounds of gender, marital status, family status, age, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, and membership of the Traveller community."

Jerry, I hear that there are some "Good Fellows" in the New York and New Jersey areas that are in the money lending business. I also hear that they have some rather unique ways of collecting the debts from those that don't pay on time.

I had an interesting survey experience which ended yesterday. Got a survey request from my bank asking how likely it would be for me to recommend my financial advisor to friends and family. I answered that it wouldn't be likely at all since I had never had any dealings with said advisor (who is new). Next thing is I get an email from the bank manager who says he's worried about the service and he'd like to know how to improve it. After a few attempts to make contact I sent him a note about all my experiences with the bank's advisors. Finally last night he called me on the phone and we had the most interesting and funny "shoot the breeze" type conversation about everything but the bank! It made my week and I'm still laughing.

What does your question have to do with "Chit Chat"?
I am signed up for surveys from
https://www.amerispeak.org/faq. It is by invitation only, and I'm not sure why they invited me, but they pay several dollars per survey. When it adds up to more than $10, I can redeem for an amazon gift card, etc. I have gotten well over $100 from them over the years.

It's just an observation and sharing of information that Jerry has done for many years in this forum. There is no compulsion to read this post, or any other for that matter. If a reader is not interested in the post, just move on. Too many times comments are made that add nothing of value or actually disparage the post or the poster. If nothing good can be said...say nothing. There is too much negativity in our daily lives...so, let us all show discipline and respect for others and move on together. Have a great day!

Right! Ignore it if you think it's stupid.
